From the supplier: A photograph of New York State equipment dealer Clyde Rodgers using a skid steer loader without a protective structure nor a seat belt on illustrates the little attention dealers and customers pay to safety equipment. In 1991, rollovers caused 2.7 fatalities per 100,000 tractors, with 4.3 overturns per 100,000 tractors. The dealer can also be held liable for injury or death of the operator. Thus, dealers should insure that each used or new tractor that leaves the lot are equipped with safety equipment and come with an owner’s manual.
