Hanomag 66C – Heavy lifting with pallet forks
Hanomag 66C in Sweden. Of course it is not possible to have a wheel loader without ‘Stora BM’-fästet (Large Bolinder Munktell-coupler) in Sweden. So this tractor have been altered. The toothed bucked that was directly attached is gone and a quick coupler replaces it. (In Sweden toothed buckets rusts away behind barns noone besides the quarry people uses them.) Here the loader is equipped with 2m (~80inch) pallet forks that are a very good match for the machine. There is some chatter in some parts of the movie, thats me giving directions to my friend David in the tractor via Peltor Lite-Com III headsets. Btw the Lathe is a Köping from 1950 This tractor is very uncommon in Sweden and the two I own are the only ones I know. (Got 1 for parts was with this one). It’s a quality tractor but it has it’s drawbacks. -The lack of parallellity when raising the loader arms sucks tho and is a deal breaker for many people that are used to Volvo loaders. The hydrulics/non-parallell loader arms is lethal. Hence the price is low here in Sweden. Can anyone tell me what year this tractor is? -I have heard 1985 but I’m not sure. Btw; Hanomag 66C equals approx. a Volvo L120
